Unchained How can you claim to be an immortal, When Zeus and his children are dust? How dare you enthrone yourself high on Olympus, Dictating who might and who must! You are a mortal, and bound to this earth, Just as the rest of us are. Constellations are named for the mighty Orion, While you haven't even a star. I cannot abide that you think me beneath you, When the blood in my veins flows as red. I am your bride sir, but never your servant! I tell you, the old gods are dead. I beg you leave to legend the throne, Impotent Zeus occupies, For when you no longer claim kin to the titan, You shall be a god in my eyes. this tickled me so as I read it and I can whole-heartedly agree with R.S.Wells and Nan! Enjoyable! My thoughts, we are to be help-mates that compliment each other with our strengths, compensating for weaknesses, making an extremely powerful duo. I learned that too late. |

Irish Rose-yes, I know my stuff sometimes gets wordy and my style is not specific either. I've tried to contain it, but sometimes I think I lived once in a time when people actually spoke this way. Sometimes that "former person" seems to come out and grab my pen. Thanks for the observation. RSWELLS-yes indeed, sometimes my muse is a runaway steed and all I can do is hang on for dear life and go where it takes me.Yeehah! Smiles to you. Nan-thanks again for your kind words. Constance, you sound bound by an overpowering presence, who is obsessed on having power and obedience. Your words hold much in the way of thought and expression.
