This was written by Sauni and Darla Part 2 Thongs The Common Footwear Can I borrow that sneaker upon your foot And, I'll trade you my thongs for the fashionable look I'll air them out before my rest And I'll wear them tomorrow to look my best I called up Jane Ann and said wear yours too She said, Ok, I'll wear the blue The party began and I walked out the door With my thongs and bell bottoms touching the floor We strolled down Main Street hand in hand We did the bump to the bluegrass band We talked and laughed as our hips shook While dancing and wearing the Karen Carpenter look Silhouettes reflected on the door While millions of thongs danced on the floor The party now over and time to go home But the thongs had minds of their own They jumped off our feet and hid in the tulips And sang, "Release Me" by Wilson Phillips All the thongs were sentenced to jail With twenty-five dollars each for bail Connie Chung did the reporting While Cindy Hsu did the escorting Saun and Darla Sauni @~~~>~~ |
