I imagined life To be a simple thing. But when I grew up, Everything began to stink! Boys were introduced Into my already confusing life. When I was 7 or 8, I think, I was being a pretend wife. Mud pies and dirt cakes, Wasn't my idea of delicious. Tea and water that wasn't there, Seemed to be quite suspicious! Running through the sprinklers, Cooties spread all around. Missing front teeth, That when you'd talk made a whistling sound. Believing there were monsters Hidden under my bed. Sleeping in my parents room, "No more of this" they said. I needed to grow up And I really did. But this life has been a rollercoaster ride, I sure do miss being a kid! :exorcist:!~Andrea~!:exorcist: |

I wrote a poem just like this not too long ago. It was called "Missing my childhood". They had the same idea. Must mean that I'm not the only one who misses those days. Good job. Jon "Your anger is a gift"-Rage Against The Machine |

HeHe, I liked th emud pies and dirt cakes stanza that ended int he "How suspicious!" line haha... And whats this? No sleeping with mumsy? Hell, My mumsy begs me to sleep with her all the time. Such a whiney lil lady. hehe Nice write, I miss the easy life of a carefree kid as well. You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did. |
