Lurking in the shadows, Hidden deep in the gallows. Resting and waiting, Watching the world keep hating. Jumps out and to your shock, Something grim appears on your block. Darkness falls on those without souls, Dark horrizons for whom the bell tolls. Walking cautiously at all times, As you listen as the bell chimes. Nervous feelings fall upon you, Now what can you do? Sit and wait as the sun sets, Across your neck something gently pets. Mind body and soul, I've been out of control, Since I fell in this dark hole. Do you love me do you hate me? I guess we'll soon see. Ready or not here I come, Footsteps sounding like a drum. Walking in the darkness of the streets, Better hide under your sheets. Death catches you in your sleep, There's no hill to steep. Cause Darkness Falls On Those Without Souls. Only darkness falls on those without souls |

*Twilight zone freaky music plays* HeHeHe... The beginning was okay...but the more I started reading the more into it I got. Thought you did very well on this one, thanks so much for freaking me out and hoping I don't have a dark soul. HeHeHe. Loved the poem. You wouldn't worry about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did. |

Well done here. I especially enjoyed the ending....the last line was awesome and very true. Well done. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. |

What a wonderful poem! It just says such a great theme. Thank you for sharing it. I loved the last line! If we're told we're bad, that's the only idea we'll ever have. Maybe if we are surrounded by beauty someday we will become what we see. |

Ok I initially laughed at the last line considering all the souls I have 'stolen'... The piece itself is great and actually one of my faves from you. It goes deep into some interesting thoughts. Too many good lines to pick out and say WOW at. Great write, keep them coming. ~AF~ "Kelly's my Hero!" "No, Kelly's your heroine." "Kelly has heroin??" "What?" |
