in the pouring rain

daddy did you hear
your little girl cry
late in the night
sobbing into a pillow

mommy did you care
about your little girls tears
did you dry them
no you didn't

stuck in my memory
are the sounds of my sobs
yet no one cared to much
to come and comfort me

i remember the day i met him
sweet and caring and shy
didn't talk to much in class
stuck in my mind forever

he told me his name
where he had come from
we shared so much
our lifes lived themselves

i don't remember the next few days
all went by in blur
i could think to get me through
was to look at your smiling face

mommy and daddy could care less
so i went off that night
i never went back to my mom and dad
i ran off gone never coming back

Better check that I'm about to upset and I'm glad now so you better step back I'm taking over so watch me shine-Joanna Pacitti/Watch Me Shine

I think everyone has had these feelings before. Too bad parenting doesn't come with a manual. They do their best, anyway.
Emotional piece.

Why is it that we are at our most ingenius only when trying to destroy the things that keep us alive and thriving?
