My homeland is not of the world

I went on a trip to Virginia, 13 hour drive, and on the way back, my mom was driving, becouse I don't have my licence yet, and I started thinking about how much I missed Cassie. We were gone for a week, and I wanted to go home and see Cassie on the third day, but I didn't tell anyone. Anyhow, a poem started to pop into my head. not even 5 minutes later, I ended up with this

If Only

If only I could see you once more
If only I could dance with you across the floor
Then float up into the sky
Staring into your eyes

If only I could postpone the trip
Just long enough to kiss your lips
Melting away my heart and mind
I'll gladly leave everything behind

If only I could touch you hair
And show you that I care
If only you could know it's true
When I say, "I love you"
