"Poor Fragile Jade" © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 Jade puts on the cheapest clothes and over do her make up, then stands for hours on a curve 'cause prostitution's her job. When Jade looks in the mirror she sees all her battle scars, but it's dirt she can't wash off from stepping in and out of cars. Chorus In an empty motel room cries a sad serenade, from an ancient radio about "poor fragile Jade" Verse 2 At the age of sweet sixteen Jade left home 'cause of her dad, who was a bad temper drunk and used to beat her up bad. Her mother left them years ago because she had, had enough, but before she left she said: "Jade you I will always love". Chorus In an empty motel room cries a sad serenade, from an ancient radio about "Poor fragile Jade". Bridge For Jade tomorrow's another day of shame standing under a street light just to survive, she live's a life where trust and love don't excist and dreaming is all that keeps her alive. Sometimes she cries for hours with loneliness, and prays that she'll soon be finished with this test. Chorus In an empty motel room cries a sad serenade, from an ancient radio about "Poor fragile Jade". [This message has been edited by Hallucination (07-11-2002 02:59 PM).] |
