I sense it aching; stop pounding on my heart. At times my mind and body are miles and miles apart. So fill up my cup the effect is belated. Here comes that smile, i'm so intoxicated. Absent-minded judgements and wounding thoughts. So much fun insn't it, or is it not? One more round the effect is belated. Here comes that smile, i'm so intoxicated. Tell a lie here, a tall-tale there. I'm an ignorant lush devoid of care. Pass me a bottle the effect is belated. Here comes that smile, i'm so intoxicated. well I think its kind of....blatant...to say "your a drunk" Every poem tells a story, maybe about you, maybe about someone you know...and this "bottle" this alcohol may represent something intoxicating you.... Anyway, I loved the poem....The repitition of the last two lines relaly worked for it Great Job |

ok, just to clarify...i'm not a drunk but this poem is about drinking. lately i have been drinking more than usual (but controlled) and i'm wondering why. is it because i'm trying to forget my stresses? is it becasue i want to escape my problems? or is it because i am just socially drinking? it's been bothering me and i can't figure it out, so i wrote this poem.
