I wonder what could ever come
of a relationship such as ours
we bat our eyes, and lick our lips
talk constantly for hours

You take my hand, and I just melt
Within your warm embrace
Bury my head into your shoulder
I’ve finally found my place

We talk of love, of life, of "us"
But we’re just friends you say
Still you use those words "I love you"
Say them almost everyday

Is it worth the risk…to be more
Or should we stay at a distance
Because everytime I see you
It takes more for my resistance

Should I succumb to the beating
Of a heart long unsatisfied
or be happy with what I have
and just let my true feelings hide

Decisions made its time to act
Swallow all my pride
I love you, more than life itself
We’re not just "friends" inside

Just rip off a piece of my skin and there you have it. My exact feelings right now. Of course literally that's rather gross, but hey, I always did have a way with words.

I really liked the poem. It was love oriented, but not all mushy and insincere sounding. Just be honest.. I guess that's really all I can say. A good friendship will last through anything.. so just shove the fear aside and go for it. If you don't.. think of how much you'd have to regret? How much you'd have to wonder about?

I really like this...it expresses your feelings well...it is something that almost everyone can relate to at some time in their life...well done.
