A little town north of nowhere

Thoughts

Empty thoughts fill my mind
So unclear to everything
I sit and think and wonder why
Why do all the pretty girls
Get all the handsome boys?
Why does school
Feel like a popularity contest?
Why are my friends
Lying to me over all the dumb stuff?
As I sit and think
I wonder about space and time
Why does a minute
Feel like an hour?
The clock is slowly ticking
My mind races to understand
Things happen to quickly
I'm left in the dust
Someone please tell me
Why everything happens for a reason
I'm getting so lost in my thoughts
Help me please, I can't take these
Terrible thoughts...

Yeah, I know how that goes... Sometimes thinking can be evil. So true, people can be so stupid sometimes. Good write.

the first half really reminded me of the song 'seventeen' by janis ian.

it has amazing lyrics [besides the great music] and i think you should download it.

it's a very comforting song. or at least i think so. though some may find it depressing. meh.
