What we used to wish for
and the things we hoped to be
Simply Become jokes of the past
when lost in harsh reality

Always somehow out of reach
we push these dreams aside
Swallow up our aspirations
cover them in pride

floating above in our head
are never really solid
just ghosts of what might have been
by them we are haunted
