“Kissing Away The Tears”

I sit in sorrow
Self pity if you will
My head hung between knees
My heart crying
for you to come back to me

Then you approach
I look unto your eyes
I gasp at what I see
All the pain and fear inside

I stand by you
As you speak words
Of hurtful measure
But I don’t care
All I want is
For you to be happy again

Tears begin to fall
Like rivers of passion down your face
Crystalline treasures
Of sorrow held for so long

Breaking down
You say more
I begin to kiss away the tears
With each one gone
More do come

One by one
I will kiss away your tears
Until the day that you cry no more
Though it may only be a dream
Meant to fade with the morning light
Remember I will always be here
To kiss away your tears.
