One day while walking along I came upon and old man singing a song he sang of his life and the many things he'd done he sang of his wife and how she was gone I listened to him with a young open heart and a thoughtful mind and knew deep inside That this I would find I would know joy that surpasses all knowledge I would know love yet all in due time after all, I'm still young I later went home and thought of the man I went to bed wondering if he could lend me a hand The next morning I woke and tried to find him then I came upon an old guitar broken by the tree. I looked at the chair where I knew he had sat but the chair was old and next to the tree rotted I sat for awhile trying to figure out what happened and saw on the chair a message it was carved so clearly I could not mistake it "I hope you learn from my life and don't make the mistake know that I'm in heaven smiling down for the day you saw me an Angel you had found." Thanks Leah for writing a poem about wings ![]() *~*Love is the key that can unlock your happiness...to truly love, is to love yourself*~* |
