I painted my fingernails that night, thinking you would admire them the next morning, thinking they would curl around your pale hand, and glimmer red and blue. I picked out an outfit that night, something to attract your attention to me, something to get you to ask me out finally, something that you would like. I got up that morning and curled my hair, got ready to leave at 5:00 am, I couldn't wait to see you, it was all I could think about. I got on the bus and listened to Blink 182, the stupid songs of immature love, the songs that make me laugh, and waited to get there and see you. I hadn't talked to you since friday, and when I got there up ran two of my friends, to distract me as you held her hand, instead of mine. You had asked her out instead, it was her hand in yours, my nailpolish, among other things, went unnoticed, bringing up a harsh reality. You weren't mine. |

awwwww! i so know how this goes! like the piece! I love to freak out salespeople. They ask me if they can help me, and I say,' Have you got anything I'd like?' Then they ask me what size I need, and i say "extra medium" [This message has been edited by Alyssa (edited 11-14-2001).] |
