She wanted you to hold her, shield her eyes from the pain, She wanted you to save her, to prevent a terrorist’s gain, She wanted you to soothe the fear, to make it fade away, She wanted you to wake her up, make everything okay, She wanted you to talk to her, to hold her hand and smile, She wanted you to stop the killer walking down the aisle, She wanted you to stop the plane, let everybody out, She wanted you to know how the terror came about, She wanted you to be a hero, to take away her fears, She wanted you to comfort her, to wipe away her tears, She wanted you to know what happened on that plane, She wanted you to know - she didn’t die in vain. Dedicated to the people aboard the planes on 9/11 but especially to the woman that called her husband on her cell phone and made every effort to make sure that her death was not in vain. My heart goes out to them and those they left behind. Though I trust they're in a better place. . . . ![]() |

Great work, Jamie. It's a different sort of piece for the event but one of my faves so far. Well done. ![]() ~AF~ "I remember the days when I was so eager to satisfy you" |

what a beautiful tribute. I am sure that they didn't die in vain. And we must trust that they are in a better place now. Charisma |
