if I could do it all
all over again
I would do it
regardless of the pain
all of what I've done and seen
where I've been and who I've known
has helped to shape my heart
and the directions that I've grown
I've been through heartache
like I hope you never ever know
I've been to places
I hope you never go
loved some special people
who meant the world to me
and watched them leave my life
helplessly......
I've done things
for which I am ashamed
but I took responsibility
no one else was blamed
I've given in to temptation
I've turned my back on God's light
I've found that sometimes prayer
is the only way to get through the night
I've regained my strength
after falling on my knees
ever so thankful
God heard my pleas
I know what its like
the challenges you face every day
I know the fear
of not knowing your way
life can be so scary
but on this you can depend
I'm here to help you always
and you can always call me friend

Oh my.... wow... yea I relate to much of this. I'm still in the throes of half of the things you mentioned... I really appreciate this piece. Sometimes life lessons just hurt so much tho....

it's just I remember what it feels like, there is soooo much to go through, and sometimes it's easier to have someone who understands and can help to clear the way a bit. or at least listen with an ear that doesn't freak out. LOL I guess I'm just wanting you all to know, I'm here

I love what you're saying in this and I am sure that everyone here appreciates it. Hell, you're one of the coolest people around. You listen to Rob Zombie!! LOL

Honestly, it is a beautiful piece and into the library it will head to always remind me that yes, nice people DO exist.

im SO glad that you psoted a piece in teen...i have at times read your poems in open but NEVEr in teen...as a teen mod i think you should post more often
