Disguised as love,

I could fall,
for blatent lies,
but I was fooled.
I believed in you,
and you set me up,
to let me down.
My demise pre-planned,
from your elevated pedestal.
What my heart once did feel,
I now choose to forget.
What has meant so much,
Now disappearing.
Inner peace will soon return,
and memories they fade.
Nothing here left to say;
'goodbye' resting in the silence.

This is real powerful Jenn it brought a tear to my eye, I really empathise with you and you know if you want to talk i'm here for you. Great work on expressing your pain so beautifully

Power to you.

I love this, Jenn! It shows your true strength in this situation and your ability to let go as such. Very emotional but it does let your character shine through brightly.

This was an interesting poem in my opinion, i dont think i could put my feelings on this topic into such wonderful words the way you did...excellent job!
