A sound barely heard in the misty air, made me pause to wait right there. Then strain my ears to see if its she, my phantom lover who waits for me. The warm mist wraps in a warm embrace, feeling your soft breath against my face. I open my arms to welcome you there, the mist dances in as though to share. A soft voice whispers in my ear, a smile damp with shedding tear. Only to appear when sensing my need, my lover hidden in the mist from me. Knowing she's there is enough for me, my hidden lover who waits to be. Hidden in the mists, she still remains cold, My longing arms ache to hold. I feel her touch upon my cheek, soft as down, it makes my heart weep. I know I’m alone as the mist swirls round, but the feeling remains of her presence found. My lover hidden in the mists from me. |

Evocative the mist, warm is the fog as day breaks. She shall appear in time as you gently call to her. Wonderful write. "I am not now that which I have been." |

I'd like to BE that "mist". Wonderful writing. Ah yes, physically being without the one you care for is difficult but it's the love you hold in your heart that will help to keep you content and happy. Thank you for this. Hugs, Tammy |
