A World of "Once Forgot" Yesterday was drenched in thoughts, that held a rainbow's view. Whispered inner words to me arched upon the blue... Of skies, that warned of storms embrace, of after, thunderous roars. I held my own, but swam in tears, as rains began their pour. I question now, belief in self why others want control. Why is it that I gather moss, upon my very soul? Allowing, I, the sting of words, an oversensitive feel. Why am I now the me I am, drowning in my real? The journey ridden, exerted more than energy could stand. My face was flushed in rainbow reds so hot when touched by hands... That miss the warmth of caring words to touch the pain, to heal. Wishing you were here with me, your calming voice, I'd steal... Inside replacing all the hurt, the feel of loving's death. Needed, times of being held and fed beyond kissed breath. I'm rhyming, yes, I am today, but forced upon, it's not. My words have flowed from deep within a world of "once forgot". ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II [This message has been edited by nakdthoughts (edited 06-03-2001).] |

Just one of those days SY (sighing) ...actually I took my first long bike ride of the year, met someone to ride with, who coincidentally has the exact birthdate of mine...on the way back I got drenched by an unexpected downpur, .kind of refreshing, but the line "drenched in thought" stuck with me. I appreciate your kindness, always huggss ~Wynter/Maureen "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

Ahh Wynter, gentle smile, what deep feeling you hold close and then let it flow out in a smoothness of melody. And, you know, people do care.. |

Great flow and rhyme. Funny how we'll see or hear something that triggers those memories for us isn't it? Great write, Wynter. ![]() All writing comes |

The sound of Forgetting is silence. No laughter or Tears to disturb The quiet eyes No haunting whisper To rattle chains In the dead mind No breaking heart To interrupt the Night’s stillness No passion To shake and rattle The bed of reason The sound of Forgetting Is silence… Shhh…. I am trying to Forget you As usual... I enjoyed your words |

The easy flow of the words in this is truly remarkable....the pain and sorrow so well weaved into the lines with poetic soul searching....I couldn't pick out a verse I liked better than the rest....but this ending is a marvelous summation of your feelings...you're such a tender loving poet!
