Why do things always need to end
Good or bad, I will lose a friend

There’s no way to stop the change
Things were new and now they’re strange

I love you and I always have.
Why is roaming the calmest salve.

You set me in a timeless stone
When I woke I was sad, alone

I might have broken from my shell
Seems that things were always well

I was firm you were flowing
I was lost you were showing

Why do things always need to end
Hearts, when broken always mend

Seems like love would never leave
Slowly seeps when we grieve

Hearts are barren from distrust
Why things end? They simply must.
