Contact me when the day is over as I slip into my waves that flow over my brow with urgency not seen for days. Let me lay upon the glass that broke our hearts for love and left me scattered in the sun forgetting who I was to become. Under the dust of magazines that clutter the house away let me find my pen and pad to start to write again. |

oh, wow! This is fantastically said, succinct yet a panorama of images. I'm not certain whether the glass in your poem is window/figure/or mirror, but as I read I saw fragments of mirror lying on the floor and reflections of broken pieces of the hurting-one's image strewn across the 'page of loss' I feel like I must write something with that as the focal point. How would you feel about that? Please e-mail me your response with a copy of this and your poem, to help me clearly understand your comment. I'm old and sometimes forgetful of details. Well, okay, I'm not really old, only 56, but I'm sometimes scatter-brained, more often each year. [This message has been edited by VAS (edited 06-02-2001).] |

Yes, write and write some more. We are hear to read and "listen." Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth |

Michael, Never stop writing.. not only for the selfish reason that I love to read your poems.. but writing is in you.. you stop writing.. you deny yourself a very important part of you. TaraB |
