Dream Play Tonight I play in dreams testing them for any openings to the real. Pressing, I feel a softness at times that seems to give way if only... To chance the real, means to beware of all that comes with loving: heartache, disappointments, misunderstandings. Tonight I play in dreams hoping they provide a safe keeping of my heart, protecting it, allowing it to expand, awakening it to new discoveries, learning to adjust to the darkness, when the moon hides from the stars leaving an emptiness on the night seas. Tonight I play in dreams viewing the depths of warmth in eyes that cry out...in silent lips that rise in kisses to meet desire, in arms that heat with each touch, searing their imprints to last the night. Tonight I play in dreams hoping to get them right... "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

I can almost picture you composing this one, Maureen, it's so natural, the flow and meter. Kathleen Blake |
