A humble man made of stone Albert was his name How he mesmerised the crowds And from far and wide they came Such wonder and excitement On the faces all around As you moved around so slowly Without making a single sound Entranced we all were With your charming grey face Perched upon a box Was where you stood in place A single red carnation You'd bestow with such delight Some bubbles you would blow How they'd catch the sun's warm light The children stood transfixed Unsure what to make of you But underneath your coat of stone Lay a heart so warm and true So if ever I need a lift Or am feeling sad and blue I know what will make me smile A visit to the city to see you Suetang |

To build your life on memories thus is to breathe life defying melancholy with gifts of light very wise I have a friend who once said-"Sooner or later, Death makes a believer out of just about everyone." |
