Essence of the Day

The night holds essence of the day
That adds bouquet to what we think.
And as we lay and dream away
It forms a sort of interlink.

It brings in symbols mixed admire
Without the shackles of awake
It brings to life minds desire
Within a fantasies remake

It’s the wellspring and the flower
Another life another store
With rejuvenating power
To kill the dragon at the door

It turns the stars to wholesome awesome
And beauties butterflies to fly
Adding color to our phantoms
And surceases forever’s lie

It’s a hoaxer and a coaxer
And an aspirin for the tragic
An elixir and a fixer
With an orphic in the magic

And I recommend it highly
For the clever and the wily.

Ah Sy....good! This brought to my mind that moment when a whiff of scent sends one back in time to a special moment and, for a brief, incandescent wink of time, smile at the memory...

and I have always said I bet you when you talk in your sleep ...you speak in rhyme divine
OH how I love this clever cadenced kissed poem ...

but that one verse makes me wonder????
