Virginia Salter they come each afternoon dressed in plumage fine coquettishly they take up their whims softened eyes and gentle smiles camouflage their joyous wiles as each reveals her secret, sisterly a tender heart for braunish lad or lips that seek what nature has so succulent an offer to their way dreaming of his eboned eyes heeding ears toward her gentle sighs promising the world and all the moon beguilingly they spin their tease parasols in tranquil breeze pondering the beauty of true love experiences they’ve never had alluring and temptation clad a giggle escapes ebullient glee looking round, they say “Good-bye,” affirming their return when sun is high to chat among the roses after tea © July 8, 2001 |

Sounds delightful. Kinda reminds me of Super Bowl Sunday, but less refined and without the tea...... |

This is so "southern" and I don't know why but I kept imagining birds at tea...shaking my head, I'd better get some coffee... But truly nice visuals here, I was reminded of "To Kill A Mockingbird" when Scout served Tea...you captured it perfectly! |

Thank you all for reading and responding, some interesting comments here, for certain, esp. LHB, heh heh heh. Of course you don't know what inspired this piece so any remark comes, understandably from your own world view. ![]() |
