When opportunities make themselves clear, You have a choice between progress and fear. It's hard to abandon the comforts of old It takes a strong vision -- one has to be bold. Respect and best wishes accompany you You're making a change others wish they could too. But the changes behind you, I can't start to list... It'll never be the same -- you'll be so much missed... May the same Light that you take away Always surround you, so others may say, "I'm glad that we found you; we hope that you'll stay!" Mark, I can relate to this emphatically. But the past we cannot bring back, no matter how joyful or sorrowful. The memories we can always treasure, but the tomorrows are what we have to base our dreams upon. As Scarlett so aptly portrayed in "Gone With the Wind", and I have to believe you have seen this icon of a film, "Tomorrow Is Another day". Here's to Tomorrows full of dreams and expectations... A beautiful read... Elise |

Mark, it is so hard to make a new and adventurous start, both for the one leaving, and the one staying. Excellent write. Sandra |

Sometimes change is good other times we should listen to our instinct to fear it. Good thoughts as always |

Unless, of course, Elise, you understand how Richard Collier accomplished this "impossible feat"... We can base our dreams upon tomorrows, but we can live them here and now -- that's what ultimately counts, if we but have the courage and diligence to make and follow our own rules. Thanks, as always, for your insights and time. Sandra, indeed it may be difficult, but when you step back and look at the big picture of your life, you may come to the conclusion, "what am I so afraid of?". Thanks for reading. Thank you Sunshine -- it's just as important to "illuminate" as it is to be "illuminated". Walker, there is no reason to fear once we reach the space of understanding ourselves. When one is honest with themselves, one realizes one's limitations and talents, always trying to gauge the balance between the two. Change is much more friendly when we learn to work with it. Thanks for your time. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |

Change is much more friendly when we learn to work with it. I am trying to see why I haven't noticed your words sooner...they seem so wise. I am taking it all in..and hoping to put some of your wisdom to good use as I am going through a time of change...and fear is a very big obstacle right now. thank you, Mark ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

I'm simply expressing my points of view, Wynter -- whether or not they're truly "wise" I'll leave for others to decide. I've come to the conclusion, as I have stated before elsewhere, that I know very little but have strong opinions about everything. I think that is the most logical summation to which I can arrive. Regarding fear... after years of thought and experience, I've come to the conclusion that it is THE #1 problem on our planet today -- whether it's a simple insecurity or truly a phobia, it leads us down an express lane to hatred, problems, and other forms of darkness. Fear inevitably proves itself to be the consequence of ignorance, for when we discover the "Truth" or "Reality" behind the unknown, we tend to find that there was really nothing worth fearing there to begin with... Perhaps my poem "THE COURAGE" can inspire you a little, for I deal with that topic as inspiration. Thanks for your kind words and time. -MVS "If you think you know it all, you have a lot to learn." |
