Avalon Landing
Memories of times to be
Avalon, my own

I

Sir Gilven, Knight of Avalon, speaks:

Emerald Lady, knower of my soul
I have long sought for thee
Since the dawning of my heart on the
First day of my knowing of love

Since that first day, you have been there
In the soul of my heart
Looking through me with thine eyes
Covering me in thy life's sight

Long have poets and bards sung of thee
And forever will they continue to sing
When they do, I can only pray Emerald Lady,
That those who hear, will continue their song

Forever. . .

For that is the length of my love for thee
That is the depth of my love for thee
And, should I die with but one last look
At mine own reflection through thine eyes

I shall not have lived in vain
But shall have known the truest example of love
For eternity. . . from Avalon Landing

Atterrissage D'Avalon
Memories des periodes d'erte
Avalon, mes propres

II

Michel D'Augustine, poet and land owner, speaks:

Emeraude de dame, jewel of my heart,
In your eyes, the fields of my love glisten

Glisten with the diamond drops of my tears
Nourishing the tender land of our hearts

Across goldenrod shafts of summer's sun
The breeze of your kiss touches my cheek

You open your mouth to my ear
And your song fills my soul

The waves of the strands of wheat bend to you
The leaves of the trees sway to your tender song

It is then that I know this moment will last
Once more, there will be one that speaks of it

I will speak through his pen, and my love for you
Will be as his love is for her, Emeraude de dame

Toujours. . . de Atterrissage D'Avalon

Memories of times to be
Avalon, my own

III

Robert Meredith, sculptor and artist, speaks:

woman of Peridot, August voice
the band begins in that sultry minor
stage lights join with candlelight and smoke
framing your gold hair green eyes
like a snowy city scene, twinkling
the words of George fill the space
and ring in my soul like the final melody
heard before deafness sets in
so, that no other sound would taint
the memory of that one last perfect harmony
a green/emerald/jade/peridot sound
I want that sound to encase my heart
to hold it like a hand would
soft, softer, softest greenest light

I want to sculpt that sound
preserve it in the copper green of earth
so that, when we have departed this plane
for the fields where our love grows
among the heather and the perennial honesty
that you will not be forgotten,
even if I am,
living forever in time,
here. . . at Avalon Landing

Avalon Landing
Memories of time to come
Avalon, my own

IV

Sven, poet, speaks:

I long to spend my nights in Emerald
I long to spend my days in Jade
forever lost in this passion
a passion that my heart has sought
          throughout time

I long to spend my life in Gold satin
I long to breathe my last in China arms
forever held in this love
a love that I have known for so long
          was not a dream

these lives I have lived with your body
these stories I have told of your soul
forever lasting across the planes
in a place beyond time and dimension
          ever and never changing

this is the place that we have always been
the place where our lives have always met
a place that only the most complete of lovers can know
the place where we become as one from two
          as two from one

take my hand Emerald Lady/Emeraude de Dame/Woman of Peridot
we are here
forever

in Avalon Landing

A truly well-written work.  Like Sunshine said, I've never seen all the shades of green quite like this.

Great job, and congratulations.

Sven,

Congratulations on your 10,000th post here at Passions.  That is quite an accomplishment and you should be proud of your work.

This was a wonderful piece for your milestone.  I like the way you broke it up into sections.  Very nice work.  I see that perhaps the knight of olde lives on through these verses.

Congrats, to you my friend.
