{{{{{{ How far More Lonely I can Be }}}}}} I’m terribly lonely with you, Yet… Even more lonely without you Can one choose between two degrees of loneliness And sacrifice one for the other? But is it a sacrifice?? To step between the boundaries of the self And search inside for the lofty loneliness That immerses that same self And make of it two lodgings For two degrees of loneliness Though they are the same….. Could we lodge one loneliness And leave the other?? Unattended….Uncared for Though they are the same…. Only one is more daring Than the other And can stand in the presence of the other Can yawn and stretch itself Can test its power ……On me… And as I stand silently Bearing all that lonely loneliness You came along, to show me… How far more lonely I can be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you It's only me.......only me |

It's tough to be lonely and all alone or even in a crowd of strangers... but we always know we can alleviate that loneliness with some effort. *S* The loneliness is somehow tougher to bear when we're with someone we thought would erase that loneliness forever and they close off from us... no effort is enough. Well written, MEM. |

no one should be this lonely. . . this is well done. . . the feelings are shown very well here. . . ------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

~Ron~ It is certainly sad to be that lonely.....but some people especially poets (not boasting to be one) usually have such a keen sense that makes them feel things more strongly and that's perhaps the problem.... But don't worry...... It was a moment that passed. Thank you....dearly.... ===================== ~suthern~ loneliness seems to be just a big burden when you expect it to go away..... I sincerely thank you for feeling in such a way.... ======================== ~Sven~ No one should ......and no one hopefully would for long...... But as I explained in my reply to Ron.....Poets seem to sense it and paint it deeply.......won't you agree? Thank you dearly *************************** |
