Why do we often lose the simple things in life? Like endless walks in the park. Holding hand in hand with the one you love. Friends that we had long ago that was always there.. but have seemed to be gone. What ever happened to the days that were bright the times we stopped at a rose bush to smell the sweet rose. What happened to the days on end of cloud watching? Is it I have gotten older that I've forgotten the things I love? Like the river and the salty sea on an age old fishing trip that I find myself thinking about. Why is it we let all these things go? As we grow... "You live you learn and life moves on" |

some things are meant to be let go...thats how we grow...but we should never lose the innocence or the joy...great poem girl |

What a good question to contemplate. There is nothing you mention that we couldn't do all of our lives, really. Seems like it's important to remember these things, for I think they help us to stay young! Betty Lou Hebert |

You know. I've sort of thought about these things we don't do so often anymore like neglected children.  They are still there, but we just don't pay as much attention of take as much time to remember like we used to. Nice thoughts here. |

Paula, I feel if you lose our innocence we lose apart of our selves. I try to stop and think about those times that have gone. I sometimes find myself gazeing out a window.. takeing in a deep breath, closeing my eyes and thoes days seem to be not go far gone in the past. *big grin*Trillium, Trying to take the time out to do these things seems to me to be just as important as to rember them.. thank you for you kind words here.  Sven, Well said I agree with you there as well we shouldn't forget Temptress, I try to make it a point to rember things. But, as I grow.. like you said it seems we don't pay as much attention like we used to.
