I lose all sense of direction
Whenever I'm not with you
I seem to be at a loss
Not quite knowing what to do

Everything loses its color
Whenever you're not there
The flowers lose their perfume
And the trees they look so bare

The sun forgets to shine
The birds no longer sing
My mood becomes very sombre
No joy does this day bring

The diamonds lose their lustre
The sky is no longer blue
Inside me it is raining
As my heart it pines for you

The moon has no silvery lining
The sand is cold beneath my feet
But all the colors will return to my life
When you and I next meet

Isn't it amazing how we perceive the world differently when we are with the one we love?  Great write, Sue.

All writing comes
by the grace of God.
