In a corporeal internship...

If I had a wish that I could make,
I would wish your pain away
I would see to it that every ache
Be replaced with pleasure to stay.

You would never feel down
Or have reason to frown
I'd make sure that you were content
No discomfort to bare --
Only rapture to share
From a health that was Heaven-sent
I would have it so that you would never hurt again.

If I had a chance to change the world,
I would make it better for you.
There would be more Love, Respect, and Joy,
Honesty, and morals too...

You would never be hurt
Or left feeling like dirt
Your Honor protected by my pride
There would be no chagrin
To disturb your sweet grin
Or your fragile purple heart inside
I'd insure that you'd never be disenchanted again...

All of these things I would do
If I had the opportunity...
To show how much I care for you
And how much you mean to me

How I feel is genuine
My statements are sincere
I've placed my heart upon the line,
For it's you that I revere.

If I had a way to make time last,
I'd extend good times for you...
Happy moments wouldn't fade so fast
And there'd be more of them too

All of this make-believe
I would strive to achieve
To the best of my ability
My devotion is real
Like the love that I feel --
You're the best part of my reality...
As long as I'm alive, I want to be by your side.

My thoughts are with you every day
My concern for you is true
If I can help in any way,
Know I'm there for you...

Now this is heartfelt and touching. Nice write...and the person for whom it is written should indeed know that you care.

Good stuff here!

Thank you, Ron.  It was inspired.  Whether or not the sentiments got through...  I'm still happy to breathe new life into this and "put it out into the ethers" for others to contemplate and consider.

Mark,
So touching and lovely. A lucky lady indeed for whom this anthem sings.

Elise, sometimes the loudest words fall upon the deafest ears...  The soul of this poem can now be for the world to contemplate and consider...  perhaps even inspire, for Love needs all the help it can get in our world today...  Thanks for your thoughts.

Sad that the ones we give so much love to, can be so uncaring of that gift. I'm glad you are sharing these thoughts with appreciative people now!

Thank you, Liz, for reading and enjoying.  It may not be easy to remain compassionate in this day and age, but I refuse to succumb to the critical mass of de-evolution that is occuring around us daily.

Yes, Sandra -- tragic, even.  But I am pleased to share these writings now with the world so, perhaps, others can be equally inspired to promote Love and caring for others.  Thanks, as always, for reading and commenting.

Thank you, kindly, Cindi.  It's good to know that I've lifted someone up with my words and have passed on the inspiration I had felt.
