And in the center circle I embraced, naked thoughts With bare breast against Bare chest Till the beating And breathing Were in one Then as I slowly Slipped into them A rhythm began Which drew me Deeper And rocked me Gently Swaying to A music felt And never heard Wrapping Around me the edges… Of curved time I slept |

Thank to all... but I think I had best clear up a couple of things... While the images in the poem are sensual, they were not intended to be sexual..the poem was written with the thoughts of communing with a spiritual place... that feeling one gets when being in a special place and feeling closer to understanding...closer to actually being one with all... Thanks again to everyone for their comments!! they are always appreciated..I think perhaps I need to re-write this to better convey the idea intended... |
