presumed innocent tried by a jury of peers to be found guilty beyond a shadow of doubt I have never been her peer she was arrested police do not jail the good she must be guilty I admit I have my doubts but I must get home by four |

It is uncool in our society to have the time to be a juror. People seem to find humor in creative excuses not to do their civic duty. Some even will present a hostile attitude, out of character, stating false beliefs if they think it will exclude them. Funny as hell until they are accused of a crime, then the retiree with an ax to grind, or bored housewife or ne'er do well serves as a peer and trust that they will find that "pool" lacking compassionate waters. |
