Deep in the heart

*With apologies to true Irish limerick writers*

What is causing my breath to catch
What meaning to this should attach
I think about you
That is all I do
The door to my heart you unlatch

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

The Irish would not mind I think,
the poet who shared a link
with a lass who was fair
and then worded with care
a poem that made people wink

Nicely done Interloper... I enjoyed the image and the form

Uh-oh....now he's on to limericks
and they don't with me stick
I could never do just one
they leave me all undone
senryus and haikus are more my clique

Ah, a romantic limerick...quite a unique thing, I think.  Some would say the limerick is one of the easiest forms of poetry to do, but I've never been very successful at them.  You've done a fine one, here!

Probably the single dearest thing at Passions for me is to read and respond to your comments.
What talented and wonderful people you are.

Titia ~ Thank you.

SEA ~ You are a pillar of hope for my work.

Cpn Hair ~ A new, talented friend.  See, you can write a limerick in response faster than I could think.

Mote ~ Your first visit.  Thanx for the read.

Helen ~ Thanx, I tried.

Decaflame ~ Me, too.  I just thought I'd try to stretch my wings.  I think I'll do MANY more Senryus and Haikus in the future

et ~ Gracious and talented ... nice combo

VAS ~ Well, if'n they're easier you coulda fooled me

Bless you all.
