A Gift for You

Birthday wishes for someone special,
A gift of friendship, dear.
Chansondegeste, a flighty thing
Is older by a year...
Oh really, it's in one more day,
but I love to beat the crowd,
and honor her with words to show
her friend I am, and proud.
She was the one whose comfort thoughts
calmed my worst of nights.
And fed me with such caring words
in dim of candle lights.
She'll always mean so much to me
a sister, in my heart.
Happy Birthday, dear musical one
May miles, NEVER keep us apart.
