FLAG DAY

today is flag day
wave your banners high
show the world
in spite of things
you face it with a sigh

you lift your heart
and then your prayers
that God will care for her
your native land
forest glade to sand
the grandest place on earth

she has a lot of problems
some He does sure disdain
yet she allows your worship of
our God or sun or rain

and surely He does quite approve
that those who love Him true
are doing so with their own faith heart
and not what told to do

show your colors
show them well
lift high the banners all
red, white and blue
the glorious three
land of the brave, stand tall!
