Sir Walk-a-lot Virginia Salter ![]() Come and meet Sir Walk-a-lot He ate some beans and old shallot Then traveled he to Camelot Until he found the perfect spot To have a spot of tea. Then traveled on to Babylon And rested on a new mown lawn Until the night reached early dawn And all the salmon went to spawn Then he came back home to me. Now mind you, I was filled with dread At what may be inside his head So I asked him to leave instead Or else we might all end up dead Beside the likes of he. He gathered all his mustered power Cajoled me well with lovely flower Swept me away with words of power Minute by minute and hour by hour Until he courted me. Helplessly I gave my hand My knees were weak, I could not stand He lifted me and crossed the land And with his love forever banned Somewhere beyond the sea. © June 13, 2001 [This message has been edited by VAS (edited 06-13-2001).] |

The beauty in your words, as the rhythm takes a live of it's own, is wonderful. This man enjoyed. |
