I’ve listened now to low and distant thunder as it growls slowly across prairie and heard the soughing of wind in tall grass and trees with storms approaching on legs of dark rain. I have watched the lightening strike In jagged form the earth below Or jump from cloud dark sides To cloud dark sides, And with hair prickled skin Felt the tingle of each Brilliant bolt. Now I feel the rain, In heavy drops, begin to splatter on my upturned face, And turn to seek the shelter Of open porch. In furious chaotic sweeps This storm attacks the landscape And all I can think of, Between gales of wind And cacophonous rolls Of thunder… Is the storm you created In my prairie heart. |

Wow, into my library with this one, and you spoke to this prairie girl's heart, as I am originally from the praries, your images were fantastic on this one. ~*~ Remember to tell someone today that you love them as tomorrow may never come ~*~ |
