Midnight comes but once a day, In the night, Precisely measures moments, Sending them to yesterday, To last night, To a time without comments. Now added to by nothing The silence, Becoming spoken darkness, In my mind it's echoing, Cold silence, Frozen thoughts fall in distress. The hall clock ends its chiming, Silence returns reminding. "Frozen thoughts fall in distress" Excellent! Not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment. |

(sad sigh) I too have felt the eerie silence at midnight, when I was a boy and I lived through week sof insomnia, trying to stay awake and drive myself out of my nightmares! I always felt so phlagmatic, I could not shake myself out of distress, and then finally as I grew I learned to be brave and unleash my spirit, and now I have aweapon to fight with in the silence! Silence isn't always golden, but it is you who makes it golden, keep the faith! (sa dsigh) Oh gosh, I hope you don't feel this way right now, but if you are, remember we all love you so very much and you are never alone. You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Thank you, Tovi, Your praise is kind. Thank you, M.A, Noah, I have found that the nightmares of my youth, Followed me to my adulthood, And follows me as I drift toward old age. I need not fear sleep, the nightmares have become Old friends. Quiet is always better than Silent screams. I fear my shadows are too deep to be shone into, Your response is friendly. Thank you, Catalinamoon, And peace to you also. Thank you, Lone Wolf, I am glad you like. Thank you, Poetmimister Familiar moods are easy to write, Pleased you liked Thank you, Suetang I hope the calm finds you, Your words let me know My words have done what a poem should do.
