how can you hold anyone captive, imprisoned when what all the heart holds is passion, fanatic waiting for the right moment to break free, liberated from the closet and fly away like a bird, emancipated Release the silence, speak away the depths of hurt, outward why do you spend your time crying, dejected when all tears have been spent, leaked, dispensed in an after state of being wasted, expendable for whom you wished to be like a limb, attached, affixed Release the caged bird within, escape from the hole of recall, climb exhume the skeletons of forlorn remains and rejoice in the birth of tomorrow, light the flame so that there is delight and sing the song of life and keep singing the sting will disappear soon and the scorpions will stay aloof [This message has been edited by Sudhir Iyer (edited 06-05-2001).] |
