Where, Without Me Listen to the way the sound spills into the morning. The ending of a dream rustles the sheet right after the first crow calls. Then next, in chorus of sweet twitter, comes the small brown finch. I can feel the light creep across the floor with my eyes shuttered. Then your sigh breathes onto my cheek and your foot reaches to find me across the expanse of night. It feels like coming home. So far we dream in this curved time, together, yet lost to each in star-born gleaning where time flies backwards and love beckons with amber eyes. I wonder where you have been without me.
