Won't You Hold It Tenderly? |

Won’t you hold it tenderly? It’s timid, and afraid... Of any sudden motion... Many times, mistakes it’s made. Let your speech to it fall softly And assuage it’s grief and fright... And try to give it comfort- For it cries a lot at night. Won’t you deal with it with candor- It’s too simple for charades. Won’t you handle it like crystal? Before the last of it’s hopes fades. Won’t you murmur, Please don’t fear me? Ere the conversation starts... Won’t you handle it quite gently? For I’m speaking of my heart. I like this - very tender write. Almost a lost sparrow. |
