Melting Night Virginia Salter creeping, creeping, goes the light as it enters day slowly, silently it washes night away with a seeping flow a tender glow strengthening as minutes go without a word from man or bird it brightens ‘neath a sky of gray wielding its way into the day giving the sleeper no course but to waken to rise to improvise the hours guise of melting night and candling day © April 7, 2001 |

This is truly a wonderful little poem, escorting light into our day. Thank you Joyce |
