This is for you....if you know...then you are well deserving...

Slow Mississippi moon soon will pause
For the coming of the haze of dawn
Then the fire passion of the sunlight,
But deep within the coal sky of the world
An ember, like starlight gleems and winks,
A glimmer of hope born of love.
And on the springtime breeze roams a thanks,
It crosses the distance and settles
On lips that never new the chance of it.
And during roaming hours it learns of other embers,
But chances to shine more brightly.
Not for competition of regret or pain,
But for the sole purpose of reaching across a destination
To a heart that needs serenity.
And although the ember knows that its light will never be bright enough,
There is always that glow and that hope,
Born on a Mississipp night somewhere between "I love you"
And "I won't forget you."

Here I stand before you shining,
Your ember should you ever need your hands warmed.

James,
I thank you for reading. I thank you more for enjoying.

Sunshine,
Thank you, and...I hope so.

Irish Rose,
Several times, eh?   Thank you. It was an honor each time then.

Joyce,
Thank you. The thoughts just had to come. One of the rare moments when they came this way.

Sven Pen,
My thanks to you. I could do no less than put my heart into it, and hope that it is bright enough.

I loved this, as the doors are still open to love, and that is a good thing!  Beautiful.

Nate,
Thanks! Glad to have you reading!

Mysteria,
The door is still open yes, but sometimes circumstances don't allow the visitors to ever come back through the door.   Thanks for reading!

Koko,
Wow!   Thanks! Certainly good to know it was worth reading more than once. Thank you!

Red,
Thank you...and I liked the way it felt while I was writing. Glad to have you reading!

Your heart is indeed very bright.

I hope that you don't mind me trapsing through your archives, it's always good to read where one has been.

Thank you.
