Night is Here Virginia Salter night is here something’s pulling upper eyelids weighing down trying to extend to puffiness of cheeks, lower lids arms heavy shoulders barely move barely, need tonnage removed fingers move almost independently of thought thought process locked virtual memory kicks in I rise seek path to slumber good night © July 28, 2000 |
