Kisses Are Not Always Forever

I'll never tell anyone how much I miss
the beautiful and lovely Michelle.
So what if I miss holding her tight
and kissing her goodnight.
She still has a right
to her own life.
And she would certainly know
if she wanted to see me whenever.
And if she did I wouldn't be missing her
because we would still be together.
And now it doesn't seem right
for me to desire to kiss her goodnight
while she tends to believe
our kisses were never quite right.
Sometimes kisses are just a brief
romantic endeavor.
Kisses are not always forever.
Goodnight.

No James, sadly, kisses are not forever......at least not all of them....then there are those that linger over years.....the ones that you can't stop feeling.....no matter what you do.

It's strange the way a single kiss can have suh an impact on a person's mind and heart. Beautiful writing...

I had hope for her kisses, then the kisses began, then the kisses ended, and then all I had was hope again, and now I must let go of the hope and embrace memories...because kisses are not always forever...in this case I had sincerely hoped they were...James
