“LEARNING TO KNOW YOU”
by

~~~~
The tenderness of a poem, with many words about you,
trying to say how I feel,
and about things we would do…
I write about your touch, gentle and loving, with bliss,
and wanting to return it to you,
and to seal it with a kiss…
Your words true and deep, with so very much meaning,
ones that are tender,
and with whispers of loves aching…
A wanting passion for you, whenever you come close,
I am never satisfied,
as my thoughts I can’t compose….
All of these things I didn’t know, there’s no one to blame,
when you entered my heart,
and made it what it became…
Soft, from hardness; warm and giving, from coldness,
somehow it became this way,
perhaps it was you, that made it amorous…
I don’t know all of the answers, but one thing I can’t argue,
this was all happening to me, when I was
“Learning To Know You”…
It been too long since I've read your work. This is no less beautiful than the rest, and I can relate.
The title makes me think of one of my favorite songs from the King and I, "Getting to Know You."
sweet piece and intresting, too.
And the learning process is a thing of magic and beauty... mending hurts and filling empty spaces. *S* Beautiful!
