How translucent is the tear?
A rainbow's echo--prismed fears,
magnified reflections all-
casting paint on charcoal wall.

Why sadness to make beauty sing?
Why madness in these thoughts of sting?
Why a memory unfold,
in one night, I grow wrinkles, old?

What there is left of me, inept,
secures the tear that's left unwept.
A heaving of the soul's beguine,
I cannot start. I will not cease.

Storms are born of woman's woe...
an avalanche of memory's snow,
and every mile I've yet to go
is but the longing of my feet.

" Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
T.S. Eliot
