The Meadow by Michael There’s a gently sloping meadow of scarlet and ivory wildflowers where I often go to sit and think. In the distance is a lake where I sometimes skip stones, or just cool my feet. The water is almost always still and mirrors the clouds and surrounding landscape. On either side are small mountains, covered in old growth fir and spruce trees. As the sun sets, shadows from these forests come running on stealthy feet and cloak the meadow’s colors in different shades of night. It is then that the lake becomes a watery heaven and all of the stars are within my reach. Proust- |

I love sunsets so much I often forget the colors of the night and the beauty they bring. *S* This is lovely! |
