Bon Voyage Few women love boats; Know the comfort Of bundling up in winter And stomping out through the snow, As breath salutes with short explosions Like a frigate approaching a fort; Feel the warmth Of a stark garage, Or the latent buoyancy Of a 15 foot sloop As she lifts her bow To the trailer support Like a thoroughbred in the gate; Feel the ache As the buyer Runs his palm along her gel coat Looking for imperfections; Dread the handshake. All men have, in one form or another, a mistress of their soul.... so too are some women owned by "certain material things...." we all either dread the handshake... or For Auction sign.... well done Bob....another keeper.... [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 05-19-2001).] |

indeed. . . there's not a sadder feeling than to let go of something that you love. . . even when you know that it's the right thing to do. . . excellent Bob. . . -------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person.
